Hi everyone. Welcome back to my website. I have been doing some research of what else you can do to help improve our mental health.
Research shows that listening to our favorite music affects our mental health. However, this is technical, so make sure you read this carefully.
You may have noticed that you or someone that you know who is depressed may listen to sad music. By experience, this is bad for your mental health because it will produce negative feelings; which will increase your depression, stress, and anxiety. Listening to positive music will help produce positive feelings; which will reduce your depression, stress, and anxiety levels and it will be beneficial to your mental health.
One of the artists I listen to is an acapella group called Pentatonix.
Every time I listen to them, I always end up in a happy mood and it helps reduce my depression, anxiety, and stress levels. It also takes my mind off of the negatve feelings I have inside me. Don’t get me wrong. Listening to music does not completely cure my depression and anxiety, but it’s a start to mine and everyone else’s road of recovery.
So, the answer to the question of whether or not music can help improve our mental health is yes; as long as you are listening to positive music. What you can do is pick your favorite song and/or music artist and just listen to it (The music has to be positive or else it won’t work) and you will find yourself being more calm.
